Tanmay Cheema is a litigation-focused advocate based in New Delhi, with hands-on experience across constitutional, service, arbitration, company, and criminal law matters. He is a graduate of GGS Indraprastha University, where he completed his B.A. LL.B. with strong academic credentials, and has since built a solid foundation in courtroom practice and legal drafting. Tanmay has trained and worked under leading advocates and senior counsel, including Dr. Swaroop George, Ms. Saahila Kaur Lamba, and Mr. Shashank Garg, gaining extensive exposure before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, NCLT/NCLAT, Central Administrative Tribunal, Consumer Commissions, and various District Courts. His work has involved drafting and filing Writ Petitions under Article 226, Special Leave Petitions, Letters Patent Appeals, counter affidavits, written submissions, and applications across diverse jurisdictions. He has regularly appeared and assisted in arbitration proceedings, both in person and virtually, and has worked closely on matters involving public institutions such as Jamia Millia Islamia and the Pharmacy Council of India, contributing to brief preparation, pleadings, and court appearances. His practice is marked by a strong inclination towards litigation, a sound understanding of procedural and substantive law, and a disciplined approach to legal research. During his formative years, Tanmay also interned with Hon’ble Ms. Justice Gita Mittal, then Acting Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, the Directorate of Prosecution (POCSO Court), senior advocates, and reputed law firms—experiences that shaped his courtroom perspective and deepened his understanding of both judicial and prosecutorial processes.
